As much as I love love love Berserk, I'm not sure that'd help. Yeah, there's one arc where fairies are scary and evil, but they're "real" fairies by the Berserk world's standards. The "real" fairies are full of goodness and healing; I've heard that Miura has even said they're supposed to represent hope.

Point taken, but, judging by the OP's expectations, I imagine a full arc of evil fairies would still be a breath of fresh air compared to the Pure and Good fairies that take up a majority of other fantasy works.
