posting again about 48.

It's kind of worrying me that so many people are agreeing to this secret.

Oh no. People are enjoying themselves and expressing their interests in a way no different than wearing a band t-shirt.

if i could wear my school-girl cosplay in public i would SO FAST. heck, i hate that i can't wear what I WANT TO and what i think is cool and express myself in public because other people think that its somehow weird. is no one allowed to have FUN anymore? (reminds of the people who come down on anything remotely "fanboy/girly" because oh noes being dorky is such a crime against people.)

I don't even like Naruto, and I smiled when I came to college to see people wearing those headbands.

Didn't you hear? Having fun is totally out of style and for little kids, how dare anyone over the age of 13 have fun and express themselves! /mops up sarcasm

People like that make me wanna wear a schoolgirl uniform and tote around my geeky merchandise while quoting anime and game characters. :P

Schoolgirl uniforms are amazing fun to run around in! Even if the skirt is annoying and your legs are freezing, you feel so omgkawaiidesu.

There are only so many clothes I feel like myself wearing, and as embarrassing as it is to admit, that's one of them :x

I can understand that I suppose, outward geekery does seem to be common with people I may not enjoy talking to. Then again, I didn't judge the people in the headbands until I actually DID talk to them.

And in all reality, our opinions clashed, but that won't stop me from being friendly to the next guy I see with one. Maybe I just really wish I had the guts to dress like they do. One girl cosplays almost every day, I'm in constant awe.

I consider fashion a fandom. Bad dressers are basically the equivalent of 13 year old bad ficcers who Mary Sue themselves into everything to me. Sure, they're having fun and not hurting anybody, but it's also super annoying to look at and be associated with.
