So let's say you're the President (which still means you only have as much power as your advisors think you should have) and you really need to fix shit; what do you do?

People need to be re-educated. That's truer nowadays than it's ever been

We as a species are on a decline and for lack of a real physical presence of "God" someone's gotta start laying some ground rules for a turnabout.

News Flash: There ARE rules. They're called laws, and "Do Not Murder" is one of them. The problem with psychopaths is that hey don't follow the rules that are already there. There's a reason there are different degrees of murder with varying punishments accordingly. Assigning the death penalty to both a man who went on a prostitute slaughtering spree and a woman who snapped after catching her husband cheating on her is ridiculous, because not all people who do bad things are Bad People.

What you're talking about IS terrorism. Light was a terrorist. That. Is. Terrorism.

I'm not a terrorist.

I'm not a psychopath.

It doesn't have anything to do with who I am as a person, what fictional ideals I found righteous on some cosmic level. Kira is never going to exist, and there will never be a worldwide rehabilitation.

Do you remember what Matsuda says? Kira protects the weak people. It's hard for people like us to find him evil because he got rid of the people who make us afraid.

You know what my fucking secret is? I know that if Kira were real, I'd be one of the people he'd kill; one of the unmotivated masses who don't contribute.

So fine, I'm saying I think he's all great and every damn thing, but I don't really think so. I'm almost saying it because I'm afraid to consider myself one of the people who he wouldn't even tolerate; so there, you got me to admit that I'm scared of something that isn't even fucking real.

Don't ask me to stop being your friend because of something I said defensively. I'm insecure, and there's why.
