I only say that because it seemed like everyone I knew (or thought I knew) started saying things like "Adam's right, the planet would be better off if 93% of the human population was killed, I would do the same thing," and "Linderman's right, this country needs a wake up call and blowing up all of New York city would be just the trick, it worked on 9/11, right?" and "Light's right, all criminals need to die as soon as possible and if I was in his position, I would do the same thing," and "Hell yeah, I agree with the MacManus brothers I would do the same thing and everyone else better act right or they're next!"

Coming from fictional characters it doesn't matter, they're not real. Hearing it in history class is different because people have learned from the mistakes of the past, right? Hearing it on the news doesn't really hit home because you KNOW that those people are crazy and that they're getting what they deserve.

However, hearing this things from GOOD people? People who would stop and help you if you dropped a bag of groceries? People who would jump start your car if you needed it, even if it was 10 o'clock at night and raining? People who would tutor you in Calculus ever week for two months just because they're your friend? People who give you pep talks when you're feeling depressed or unmotivated? People who talk to you every day and share your taste in music and who you went shopping with just last week?

To me that is 1000x scarier.
