I agree with both of these comments. I'd LOVE to see some IC genfic. I think I just have really bad luck with that, though. Also, it's my opinion that NaruMitsu is not the be-all end-all of PW pairings. D: Buuuuut that's just me.

It's definitely not the end-all and be-all of pairings, but the people that write it well write it very well. I've never seen good PW gen that isn't overrun with terrible original characters or a good PW het fic that captures the feel of the series.

Maybe that's because 90% of the fandom writes P/E and nothing else. You're bound to get some gems just from the law of averages.

And the most IC Phoenix roleplayer I ever saw didn't end up with anybody.
