Are the robots really that distinct in the Transformers TV show? I've wondered that for a bit.

Between the body types and the colors, I find that they are. The Decepticons are harder, though, because they're mostly more subdued colors.

idk about other shows, but they are in TFP (the one pictured).

Not so much in the 80s G1 show, but stuff like Armada (2002 series, not the greatest but I adore it) and Prime (the one pictured) have very distinct character designs.
