I have the same issue with my name and ended giving up on correcting people, since the other pronunciation is far more common and most people just refuse to use the right one because they think it's weird/wrong.

I don't like it, but correcting people all the time is tiresome specially when it's pointless. So... yeah, been there, done that so I get why she stopped correcting other people too and I think it would have been weird if they had started calling her Kou all the time.

But that doesn't means fans should call her Gou. OP is going too far the other way.

You're the one who's going too far the other way. Fans calling her a name that isn't even spoken at all on the show anymore would be really weird, and even confusing to new fans who didn't watch the first season.

She's not real. She can't hear what we call her. She has no dignity to hurt by being called Gou by fans.
