Slight change of plans. We will be kicking things off with the Disney Channel Original Movie (TM), Phantom of the Megaplex. It's all rather... self-explantory.

My initial guess was right, it's from Wagner's Tannhäuser (and spelled right this time). Here's Karajan and the Vienna Philharmonic playing the overture from Tannhäuser, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-KayEaK-es. Say what you will about Wagner as a person, but it can't be denied that his music is gorgeous.
