There are many stories where a seemingly good magic contract screws over a character. It's an incredibly old trope, so the worry you have is really silly. Write your story; unless the characters and plot progression is uncannily similar, no one's going to care.

But like.... these relationships are completely different.

Xander and Willow were best friends for a LONG time. Had a brief romantic dalliance and then went back to being friends.

Catelyn viewed Petyr as a brother and then honestly doesn't seem to have given him much thought after her marriage. While Petyr has kind of been carrying a torch for Catelyn and is now creeping on her daughter.

If it helps, I had the idea for bloodbending before it ever happened in show. And it is one of those things that's generalized enough to know "yeah. i know they didn't get it from me", but at the same time you want to wave your hands and be like, "hey fandom! look! we were totally on the same wave length!"

TBH, I think this happens with just about every fandom. I know someone who had theories about metalbenders before they became canon; I'm sure there was someone out there with horcrux-lite theories. You have enough people speculating about a certain series, and there are bound to be repeat ideas.
