I know that was your point. perhaps you need some reading comprehension yourself, because my counter point was that your argument goes for EVERY fictional character ever seen doing any thing. If you say "This didn't happen because some writer wrote it so it doesn't count" about something that is clearly still recognised in canon, then what exactly should be included in a characters history? Only things the character chose to say or do by themselves without influence from a writer? You see my point? Your argument about why we should just pretend it's not a part of the canon is bullshit because then there would be no canon.

She said she agrees with your statement that it applies to all fictional characters -- her addendum being all the characters in the media being discussed, vs. you insisting it's all characters ever. Have you ever read an American comic book? Have you ever read more than one author of the same comic book? They're totally fucked. People pick and choose their favorite backstories all the fucking time, until the most popular movie sets one in stone -- and then the authors continue to retcon those backstories.\

Besides, it's an opinion and perspective. Go ahead and take every backstory as gospel. I'll keep with FJ and the authors, here, and keep ignoring the stupid shit.
