Also, Republics delude people into thinking they can become rich, when it is almost impossible. Unless you're born into money or are one of the few people to invent something like Facebook or tumblr, you just have little to no chance of gaining wealth. Not with the abysmal wages the so cold 'rich job creators' are willing to provide.

Oh, Walmart, some of the most richest companies in America, is quickly losing profits because foodstamps were cut. If that's not irony, I don't know what is.

That is some hardcore self-defeating bull right there. I know a couple of rich people. Not one of them was born rich. They worked for it.

Democrats delude people into thinking they have no power over their lives and there is nothing they can do to change their situations and the only they have is to sit around and wait for the welfare check.

Welfare is not this amazing paycheck that means you don't have to ever work, ya know. Most of the people I know on welfare bust their asses at deadend jobs, and need the help because 600-800 dollars a month is not a livable wage. Not everyone can become a successful business owner or go to a good school to get a good degree. Hell, a lot of people with degrees can't find work and are highly qualified. A lot of rich people shipped their jobs overseas, so they could pay even less to their workers. There is a crisis right now and rich 'job creators' aren't actually helping.

It's nice that you have some rich friends, but to say 'all you need is hard work to get rich!' when a lot of poor people bust their asses daily for nothing is just insulting.

You're acting like you have no power and no control over your own life. That's just pathetic.

You're acting like someone being a success has nothing to do with their connections or the economy, so I think you and anon are probably equally deluded here.

DA

They said "not everyone can be successful, and it may not be their fault". They didn't say "literally everyone who isn't successful has no control". I'm not successful mostly because I'm lazy as shit and don't really care to change that. My best friend busted her ass into a nervous breakdown and hospitalization due to illness, and while she's still striving for her goals, those things are like cement blocks around her feet for every step she struggles to take. So. You know. Not everyone's fighting the same battles.

When did I ever say that? Oh right, I didn't. You're under the impression that anyone can become rich if they try hard, and I pointed out that it's really fucking ignorant to say poor people don't work/try hard. You're as out of touch as that news anchor who thought poor people are skinnier than more wealthier people, when it's the reverse.

There's a reason the economy is still shitty and it's not because ~Republican rich job creators aren't being given a chance~ (Oh, what exactly is stopping them now? Oh, I know, minimum wage.)

It takes a lot of luck to get rich from non-richness. Not everyone can do it. That's just reality.

If all you rely on is luck then you're not going to get anywhere. I don't know anybody who relied on luck to become successful.

She didn't say 'only lucky', she said most people need luck because the odds are so stacked against them it's almost impossible. I'm going to guess you grew up with well off enough parents and have never had to actually use foodstamps or welfare.

Don't worry guys! You can totally become rich, somehow, when you need to work shitty hours for shit pay, and spend every dime you make on your rent! What? You mean you have no one to help you, so you can't just fuck off and go to college AND stay in that hourly range you were hired for? WHAAAT, YOU'RE JUST LAZY!

I think you know that's my point. In most cases, yes, you do have to work hard. But you ALSO need luck.

Do you actually know any Democrats? Like, have you met one? Because I have. I know personally several party officers in my state of residence, I've gone to rallies, I've worked phones.

The Democrats' major mechanism for getting out the vote isn't welfare offices. It's labor unions. It's working people.

You're repeating a caricature.

And if you heard what they say about voters like you! Well, I'll tell you. I met a young man once, working on a lost-cause campaign in a fire-engine-red district where Democrats would be happy to get 33% of the vote.

He said, people don't realize they're chickens voting for Col. Sanders.

A bit harsh, but not any more inaccurate than what you're saying.
