Re: unpopular opinions thread
Ugh, that sucks with RO. They had shitty PvP too. Plus, on private servers there was normally one big guild so doing WoE was just a slaughter.
Hmm, what do you think the distinction is for you?
Re: unpopular opinions thread
Easy. With MMOs you end up spending time creating a particular build for pvp, and popular builds that nobody strays from is stale gameplay to me. It's possible to deviate from the norm and still succeed, but just because I'm not dedicated doesn't mean I'm also a masochist. Other games I can jump in right away, suck or not suck, and definitely not feel like I've accidentally made it a career choice. Unless trying to be mlg and maining a specific character or gear is the goal, it's still casual.
Re: unpopular opinions thread
Yeah, I get that and I can get behind it. I wish characters were less, "This is the way to do it right if you want to win." and more, "Just make sure you're the right level and shit."
Re: unpopular opinions thread
(Anonymous) 2014-07-26 02:35 am (UTC)(link)But I feel like PvE in MMORPG is a lot more restricting because not only is it optimal builds, but also set rotations. In PvP there's a bit more wiggle room since it's situational. Although, it only really levels out when everyone is at the max level. Which is a pain to get to in the first place.
