It's okay because they're "only retaliating." The same way it's "okay" for POC to make fun of white people for their race or culture, or "okay" for non-binary or non-straight people to call others cishet scum, or "okay" for any oppressed party to tell a less oppressed party to go die.

That's the reason I've heard. I'm not saying I agree.

I'd love to see someone change this post to reflect the stereotypes that muslims=terrorists or black people=criminals or feminists=the insane Tumblr radfems.

but it’s a lot faster to say “boys are dumb”"

I do believe they call it "venting". Not that it's okay as you may never know who you're really talking to on the other end.

I think venting like that is okay in closed spaces, but in open spaces like tumblr where anyone can be on the receiving end it shouldn't be.
