Sometimes it's not a choice at all. I can be pretty fandom monogamous when I fall hard for something. I may be interested in trying to be fannish about other things, but then fail to be able to concentrate and have my thoughts stray to the one fandom that's closest to my heart right now.

haha, yes, this is me exactly. I've consciously tried to push myself into fandom involvement for more than one fandom at a time, and I'm incapable of it. I commiserate entirely.
