I think 300lbs on the leg press absolutely could be realistic, if you're willing to give yourself some time. Lower body strength tends to be both greater and easier to increase than upper body strength.

Speaking of upper body strength, that's what my goals revolve around currently. I want to be able to do 100 push-ups (not in a single set, mind; I'm working toward five sets of 20 reps) and 4-5 pull-ups in a row. I signed up for an obstacle course race in the fall, so I've got that to motivate me.

Are you already doing the hundredpushups (http://hundredpushups.com/)/twenty pullups (http://twentypullups.com/) programs? I know I've pimped them both here before.

I'm doing the push-ups program (and it's been fantastic so far), but somehow I didn't know about the pull-ups one. Thanks for linking it; I'll have to give it a go!

(Another big help, honestly, has been playing with poi...which I probably talk about too much, but oh well. It's fun and it does your upper body good).
