I guess it depends on what you m3ean by "stick to one fandom at a time."

Personally, while I "consume" multiple fandoms, I generally only write for one at a time because, for me it's very important to a) keep the characters IC, be as canon-compliant as I can, and -- most important -- capture as closely as I can the "feel" of and cadence of whatever I'm writing for. This has led me to actually posponing reading/watching certain things I have a sense I'll want to write for, but that's primarily because I'm just not as good at multitasking as I used to be.
