Re: Hair and scars -- help me fix my face?

Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything that truly softens/thins hair aside from perhaps a change in body chemistry. Hair is what it is, the thickness/coarseness is pre-programmed. Once it heals, you could try treating it with a dab of conditioner (when you're showering, work it in and leave it a minute or two before rinsing it out). Drugstores will probably carry OTC scar reduction creams, though you could try asking your doctor about prescription strength stuff.

Other than that... well, keep treating any raw/open wounds with antibacterial cream, which heals healing time. I have no personal experience with hair removal techniques other than shaving, so I'm sorry I can't be of more help. :(
