Yeah, I hate that, too. There are a few pairings I ship that, whenever they touch or express concern for each other, fans online are always like, "That's proof they're totally in love because friends don't touch/worry about each other." It drives me crazy every time. Even if I love the idea of the ship, it's TOTALLY NORMAL for friends to do those things. Groan. It's worse with an incest ship because, seriously, it's not normal for family members to hug? Fans are crazy sometimes.

I still remember seeing someone mention that Danny and Jazz from DP were "more close than most siblings." and I remember being pissed off about that as a justification for a ship.

THEY ARE PERFECTLY NORMAL SIBLINGS

(also part of my annoyance was "NOT EVERYONE HAS TO BE SECRETLY DOING EACH OTHER")
