People in multiple fandoms have characterization problems

(Anonymous) 2014-07-27 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
I've noticed in fanfiction. Occasionally characters inexplicably take on traits of characters in other fandoms. Also, cameos everywhere, and name dropping and OOCness. Like hell a bunch of superheroes are spending their time off debating the merits of Frozen, okay?

I think you are just reading stuff by shitty writers.

If you can find some asexual fic that doesn't come off as a PSA, please tell me where it exists.

AYRT

That's always a possibility, but I've never really read a fanfiction by multi-fandom people that didn't have at least one of those problems.

Depends on the group and the timeline. I can totally by Spider Man and some of the younger X-men, for instance, discussing Frozen. The JLA? God, no, but it's kind of hilarious to imagine.
