honestly imo you should never call someone a slur they dont consent to you calling them, even if it applies to you both. i think with words like f*g, those they apply to should feel entitled to reclaim them but should also err on the side of caution when referring to anybody but themselves with the words. not everybody who those words apply to is comfortable with them.
