Yeah, I gave up about a season and a half in when I realized the only thing I actually cared about was Mulan/Aurora, and that probably wasn't gonna happen. (I guess they made Mulan liking Aurora canon? Totally not enough to make me watch again.) It was ridiculous in a bad way and just full of shoddy plotting and shoddy characterization and it mostly just made me want to pull my hair out.

They did make it canon in the same episode they made Aurora pregnant with Philip's kid. They also pretty much abandoned those characters forever after that (as far as I know anyway.) So yeah you were probably better off ditching the show.

Mulan and Aurora were great, but great side characters tend to get abandoned in OUAT.

Aw, I hadn't realized they were basically never heard from again, that's sad. :(

They showed up in the beginning of the second half of S3 and that's about it. Mulan, unfortunately, was cast in a different show hence why her storyline got shafted, but still.

I didn't ship Aurora and Mulan but I would be so down with a Fem!Shang and Mulan action.

I could go for that, too! I just liked Mulan a lot. I guess if she's been cast elsewhere it won't happen, but I could see myself skipping everything else and just watching her scenes if she were given an actual storyline. *g*
