Hmm, I don't find the shaky cam on The Closer/Major Crimes to be that bad- it is present, especially in their openings (along with the rapid cutting), which are often meant to reflect the crime scene footage they're taking- but beyond that it usually settles down.

However, TNT's other LA-area cop show Southland had such extreme shaky cam that it made me queasy. I normally have quite a decent tolerance for it, so this was some intense shaking, and not even during a chase scene or something. I wanted to like the characters/story, but I couldn't even make it through the whole episode. Also it had some really ugly color filtering/saturation going on.

Southland had shaky cam? I did not notice that. I vaguely recall shaky cam in the first episode and the one where the reporters were following that one cop team (Cooper and Lucy Liu?), but nothing else comes to mind. Huh.
