You can't pay me to read any Marvel that isn't X-Men or Garth Ennis' run on Punisher. I don't care how good it might be, I don't care which writers whose DC work I liked wrote it, I'm not going to fucking read it. Especially if Spiderman's in it. It started off just being "I prefer DC's writing and stories and characters" -- you know, a fair reason -- and turned into "fuck you assholes why is this shit popular?"

(for the record I hate most of the movies too that aren't Iron Man 1, Captain America or X-Men First Class.)

Meh, Captain America was so boring though! But to each their own.

I loved it! I thought it was rather understated compared to the ~*HI-OCTANE ACTION*~ of the other movies. And god forbid a comic book movie be a little slow.

It was all slow. I think I fell into a mild coma until when he goes to save Bucky. Good music though.

I'm okay with slow. Pretty much most of my favourite movies are slow.

Blade Runner (my favourite)
Dr. Strangelove
Alien trilogy (though I prefer the theatrical cut of Alien, and the Special Edition/Director's Cut of Aliens and Alien 3)
The Dark Knight
Apocalypse Now Redux
A Scanner Darkly
Dark City
Drive
Stalker
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
28 Days Later
The Terminator
The Warriors
Deep Cover
Videodrome
Event Horizon

The vast majority of these are fairly light on action.

Thank you. I've not heard of a few of these so I will have to check them out.

I'm glad you like the Captain America movie--it's under-appreciated. :)
