Do you have photoshop on your computer? CS5+ makes it easy to do if you have a readable video file on hand (import>>'make video frames to layers'). But any most version of CS will let you work with a pile of image files as your frames too.

Anywho, assuming you don't, and that you are at least able to work with capturing the frames themselves as image files, here's a semi-decent if a bit old post on how to do it. I wouldn't recommend getting KMplayer unless it's version 3.6 or older though since the team behind it has loaded it with ads since.
