Another fucking surprise m-preg shit fic. I'm kind of pissed that I wasted over half an hour reading it (longfic) only to get this lovely and completely useless surprise sprung on me. Thank you, idiot author, for wasting my time.

Ugh, while I've never come across surprise!mpreg, I can sympathize. Stumbled on many a fic without warnings for stuff that should probably be warned for, like rape.

I hate this. Most of all when you go and tell the author (nicely, even, like "look, could you please maybe tag this because people might want to avoid it") and they get all snappy and say they won't because ~it's a spoiler for the story~. No, fuck you, tag your shit. It's not hard. You don't have to write who gets pregnant, or who gets raped. It's not a spoiler.

I feel you nonny, mpreg is at the top of my dnw list. I think the only mpreg fic that ever worked for me was a really fucked up Doctor Who fic that I read a while ago (kind of wish I still had the link) but most of it is poorly written and really OOC. Some of it is also weirdly...heteronormative, even more so than a lot of actual het fic.

I wouldn't know what m-preg fic is like because I avoid it like the plague. I just don't understand why some people are so surprised that not everyone wants to read about fucking butt-babies, o matter how popular it is in the fandom in question. (I'd also appreciate it if people tagged for all things not everyone would like to read. As in yeah, I know that character is a popular victim of the ~non-binary/trans*~ trend in this fandom - doesn't mean everyone agrees and wants to read it.)
