Notes:

I'm not actually around, Semagic is doing the work for me, so you guys do the name that fandom! :D

Also... the amount of not posted secrets today worries me. Perhaps some of you could do with a refresher on the rules and regulations?

12. Whoa, really? That's SO awesome. I really need to read/watch more of this series.

This may be completely random, but your last sentence makes me so happy. I think just hearing someone admit that something they noticed/love/whatever isn't the first to do something automatically makes me respect you a bit. ...if that makes any sense. =\

24. It's a love-hate relationship for me. I don't like how it makes them less pretty (yes, I know, I'm horrible), but it adds such wonderful depth to them! It makes them so much more realistic.

33. Oh. My. God. d-dueSouth secret? I watched this show religiously! Fraser taught me how to be a better person, I just wish I could be half as amazing as him. Your secret made my jaw drop and my day awesome. Thank-you kindly!

35

[identity profile] chocolatepot.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Well, what are they supposed to do? It's canon that people swear in Mandarin. Maybe you could direct them to a site about Mandarin swears? (There must be one.)

[identity profile] rubix-cube-cat.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
8. Oh I've loved the games almost from the very start. Want a PS3 like BURNING just so I can play the new one. But I just can't ship that. Sorry. D:

17. EEEEEEEE! SPYRO!!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I totally agree with this secret. My absolute favorite was Ripto's Rage. So many inside jokes from way back in the day...*sigh* Don't get me started on the PS2 games. The first one for PS2...load screen for a load screen wtf, is all I'm going to say about that. The new Legend of Spyro series is interesting but...it's like a completely different game. And I like the old Spyro better. ):

28. In spirit, maybe, but 13 is way totally hotter. >:3

28

[identity profile] farasha.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
I'll drink to that! It's the eyes. And the attitude. Rowr.

18

[identity profile] deltashade.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
lol neversoft

Doesn't look like the Guitar Hero series is gonna be getting Queen anytime soon. Might I suggest Rock Band, which also doesn't have Queen (yet) but does have a decent bit of Bowie available?

[identity profile] runic-binary.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
27. Actually, that's Tashigi, not Kalifa. Just, y'know. FYI.

[identity profile] squareorange.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
7. Are you me? Seriously, they own my life too.

13. CHRISTOPHER WALKEN. <333

16. YES. PW fandom is so HAPPY. I love it to bits. <3

31. I like Sylinder anyways, but that? I TOTALLY GET.

Nope, not you. Similar to you, apparently.

ILU2 ♥ Changing character dynamics FTW, right?

12

[identity profile] zidane.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
You know, I've since gone back and found that phrase in a FEW titles that I've seen or read before Gurren Lagann came out. But the phrase just didn't have the kind of IMPACT that it did when Kamina said it for some reason.

Otherwise I would have, you know, remembered that. A lot of things in TTGL had been done before. Something about the show made them feel NEW again.

12

[identity profile] dots.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
I'm just going to say this. I have never watched E7 or TTGL, but I know for a fact I heard "Believe in me who believes in you" somewhere else before that, and it drives me insane because I can't figure out where. It's actually a phrase I used to use a lot for tiny text in icons, because it just looked nice tiny-ized. And I can't figure out where I heard it and it's driving me insane, because it was years ago. Before either of those shows were big. Or even existed.

33. Wordy McWord.

In any situation, I basically think "What would Benton do?"

16. Awww, now I want to be in the fandom for real! (As an everybody/everybody shipper, I might even fit in!)

Also, I like that it's Phoenix saying that. It feels very in-character for him to be personally affected when other people fight.

[identity profile] pyrasaur.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
As an everybody/everybody shipper, I might even fit in!

I like you already! :D The world needs more everyone/everyone shipping.

YOU LUCKY BASTARD.

I need to go bleach my eye sockets. Repeatedly.

besmirching the name of Mylar in such a way...tsk tsk tsk.

It was probably shit, anyway.

[identity profile] achtungkate.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
8 - YES.

[identity profile] alwayswrite.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
10. I agree with this to an extent. But, just as I wouldn't go for a Brock Samson in RL, I wouldn't go for one in anime. XD;; All the same...VENTURE BROS SECRET! ♥♥♥

13. MINE TOO.

18. MOAR QUEEN. ALWAYS.

20. ...When my friend made up a pairing name for her and her boyfriend, the sky went black.

23. Man do I agree with this. Dub fangirls kinda scare me. o_o;;; As long as it's voiced well, I don't really see how it matters...Some people may view it as instantly assuming that whatever's Japanese is superior, but, at least for me, that has nothing to do with it. A lot of things can be lost in translation with dubbing as well. :x If I think the English fits, that's what I'll watch, but if the Japanese fits, I'll listen to that. And when people wheedle and poke and go on about either dub OR sub va's, it isn't as if I'm suddenly going to listen to them if I hadn't before. ^^;;

24. Oooo I agree! ^^ It makes them seem more real to me. ...Unless they do it ALL the time. Then we have problems. >>;; I don't wanna see either boys OR girls cry ALLLLL the time.

34. MY EYES! DX

In this case, its a 'fanboy', but yeah that's more or less my view on it. As for the things lost in translation, that's part of the reason, even if I have seen the series in English I like to give it a watch in Japanese for anything I didn't get.

[identity profile] implication.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
5. XD I kind of squeed when I saw that panel.

19. HORNY! ♥ The friend that introduced me to Hornblower would probably be mortified, but yes, those three would make a nice sandwich. Who tops though? Archie or Bush? Sorry Horry, I love you, but you don't get to top. Actually a Bush/Horry/Archie-wich sounds rather nice~

35. If they're trying to make it seem like they know what they're doing, yes, they need to just stop. But if they're providing translations and stating they're using an online translator, well, I don't see much wrong with that. I get the feeling it's the first situation though.

(Anonymous) 2007-12-07 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Probably Bush since he has a deeper voice

#18 HELL YES I SO AGREE WITH YOU! MORE QUEEEEN!

#24 AMEN TO THAT! I love seeing guys cry too over something really emotional. It's good for them to let it out after having to keep up that tough guy facade for so long!

6, 17, 24

[identity profile] tadashi-chan.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
6. OMGSOCUTE!!! *squeals* What fandom is this???

17. You're preaching to the choir, my anonymous friend. I hate all those new games!!! I lost count. Sadly, I don't remember the name of my favorite game... but it's one where you can control not just Sypro, but Sheila the kangaroo and Sgt. Bird the penguin. And it's the same game where there's a big spiky frog-type boss name Buzz lives, and I actually went back to that Boss Battle like, 50 times, just because I enjoyed pwning his ass. :D (GOD I HATE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME OF THAT GAME. ;.;)

24. I think Renton cries too much... but that's just me. I do enjoy the brief moment of humanity that ensues when someone cries ^^

12. Dude, some people never watched Eureka 7 and wouldn't know that, so don't believe you're the only one. I certainly didn't know that. It's like listening to a "new" band and just realized that they were active ten years ago. Come on.
13. OMG I'm loving these secrets today.
36. Man, how many secret-secret-secret repeats can we have? D:

I'm not Linton's biggest fan, but I love WH. I'd love to read your fic just to see what you could bring to the character. Fic has changed my mind about certain characters in the past, so . . .

[identity profile] suzanami.livejournal.com 2007-12-07 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
24! AMEN! i mean, i make fun of him, but i kid because i love! i know he cries in every episode, but he's a confused and hurting kid with the world on his shoulders. it's better than how holland bottles it all up.
and it flares up my mommy-instincts for him. <3 <3 <3

omg, everyone will think #24 is me. XDD

I have. :D *plays Dietrich, Kaspar and Lilith* But thank you for asking/the thoughts. I'm not very fond of Anime (die in a fire) and Manga could do better... like moar politics and less stupid humor/romance.
