Sherlock/John. The most polite explanation I can give is that I find all the writers' nudge winks gross as hell and judge shippers who hold them up as 'proof'.

I just can't stand either character and the thought of them together seems exponentially more annoying.

I can't ship BBC John/Sherlock because there's just enough of Doyle's characters in them for me to start doing the "Everything is platooooonic" dance.

Oh yeah, and no one will ever convince me that Doyle's Holmes isn't ace, and that definitely bleeds through into the BBC adaptation, all drama aside.

I think ACD Holmes is asexual, but that doesn't stop me from shipping BBC Sherlock (with Lestrade, not John).
