Sherlock/John. The most polite explanation I can give is that I find all the writers' nudge winks gross as hell and judge shippers who hold them up as 'proof'.

Yes, you could argue that they have some things in common, but let's be real, Tony would be horrified at the idea that he was ever that close to being genocidal intentionally, given how he reacted to finding out he was murdering people by proxy with his company's weapons.

I'm pretty chill about pairings, so nothing comes to mind. Mycroft/John? I don't get this pairing and I've never tried reading it however it appears in my RSS and annoys me. It's an evil pairing, I'm sure.

Amelia/Zelgadis (Slayers) is horribly silly in my opinion.

Harry/Hermione, mostly because it seemed to come with a side of Ron!hate. I don't care so much anymore though.

Zuko/Katara. I initially shipped this and then I stepped into fandom. What a mistake.

Derek/Stiles. Once again, this was my very favorite ship. I drew fanart. I wrote fic. And then I really started participating in fandom and it was ruined. So much Scott bashing. So much "IT'S TOTALLY CANON WAIT IT'S NOT CANON HOMOPHOBIA." I just couldn't take it anymore.

So basically, other fans ruin everything. I'm being so careful with Free! because right now I ship everything and I'd like to keep it that way. XD

Well, I've heard horror stories about the incompetence of Carnival Cruises but in the fandom sense I'd say Johnlock and Destiel. They can go fuck themselves.

Turin/Beleg

*Spoilers*

Mostly it's because of Turin. I adore Beleg and Brandir, and I really liked Gwindor and Aerin, and it irritates me that Turin ended up getting all of them killed. What really pisses me off is that by the time he gets to Brandir and is such a dick to him, he really should know better. He never seems to learn. Cursed or not, he's responsible for his own actions, and his actions are inexcusable to me.

Regarding Beleg, I don't like how Turin treated him. He seems to take him for granted. I don't blame him for killing Beleg; that's a tragedy. But Beleg goes through such hoops to help Turin out before that and Turin doesn't really seem to appreciate it. Beleg's devotion is so wonderful and it doesn't seem like Turin reciprocates at an appropriate level.

Mostly, I just hate that with Beleg, Turin/Beleg is the default ship. I wouldn't be so irritated if there were a wide range of Beleg stories with other characters (including my personal OTP, but I know that my OTP is really rare).

Wheatley/Chell. Besides the part where he gets woobified and a free pass, and passive aggressive tendencies wiped out, she becomes boring and self inserty feeling. Like a You/Fandom Crush fic. Sure, her being a silent protagonist means that's going to happen, but not muh chell etc.

Aang/Katara: never saw anything romantic between them. Aang had a 12 year old crush, which was fine as it played for laughs. But making them canon at the end? So disappointing.

-Sterek. I wouldn't hate it so much if it weren't for the fandom, I'd typically just ignore it. BUT IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. How is it the default pairing?? A common pairing, I get. But default? How? And how is it the pairing that fans want queer representation on? Do they not see that its amount to anything on the actual show is like zero? Ship and kink on it all you want, but in the canon, it's nothing.

-Meg/Castiel. I don't even have any explanation for this (and it's not because of other ships). I just really, really hated it.

-Blair/Chuck. UHGGGGGGGGG.

-Snape/any of the children. Explanation not necessary.

-Levi/Eren. Again, a prevalence thing. I'd usually just ignore it, but again, impossible. People like what they like and if it's a kink, then fine. I just stay way from fandom anyway. -shrug-

-Matt/Mello. Again, fandom is the cause. WTF made it so popular. Matt showed up for 5 seconds.

-Gareki/Nai - Nai is like a little kid, I can't understand how you ship him. He seems soooo young to me and it creeps me out.

-Rei/Nagisa - Again, mostly the fans. It turned from a "Oh I like their friendship only, it's cute" into active dislike. I always saw them as just friends, and then the fandom was all "IF YOU DON'T SEE THAT THEY'RE IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER YOU'RE DELUSIONAL" "THEY ARE SO CANON" "MARRIED" (I know, normal shipper phrases, but so many of it, and so much ship superiority and bashing of other ships with those two characters...) I hate that the fans soured their friendship to me.

Shoichi/Byakuran - No explanation, really. I just go "NOPE."

Furuya/Miyuki - Just gives me a "HELL NO" reaction. (Romantically)

Aomine/Kise - Same as above.

In honor of the Digimon announcement, I'm gonna say Tai/Sora and TK/Kari. Never got why fandom were so surprised and upset that Tai/Sora didn't get together when there was never any hint that they liked each other that way besides one or two lines from Tai, added by the dub, in the movie. And TK/Kari puts me to sleep it's so boring.

Really, pretty much all common ships involving Slytherins. Just... most Slytherins (especially the ones who get shipped with people) are kind of terrible people who I have no real interest in shipping with anyone. Even if they're not terrible people, they're at least morally grey and unpleasant. It doesn't appeal to me at all.

Calleigh/Eric on CSI Miami. It ruined both characters and made them so unlikeable. I used to really like her but they were both so self-righteous by the end. They seemed to be in such a bubble and so disconnected with the world.

Sara/Grissom. She seems so closed-minded about a lot of stuff and he's so opened minded. I'm not surprised they ended up divorced.

Tony/Ziva. I was fine with it until it started hijacking the stories and the characters. Tony's always been a frat-boy but he was getting character growth - character growth the writers undid all the time in the service of this ship.

In general, most incest ships. It's the one block I've got besides RPF and adult/child relationships that I'm not getting over. And, while I'm at it, any of those ships as well.

Also quite a lot of the fandom megaships I've come across, mostly because of hype aversion, but also because of the plot fatigue you get after a while when everybody and their dog is retreading the same emotional checkpoints with the same characters over and over again. Kirk/Spock, Sheppard/McKay, Rumbelle and Bagginshield, are ones that particularly annoy me. The first two are continuous on my part, the latter two more recent.

(This only really bothers me in ensemble casts, though - shows where there are only about two main/recurring characters and their ship is honestly the only ship in port don't bug me as much, though I don't tend to read as much fanfic in those fandoms full stop).

I'm having trouble thinking of ships that I dislike for more specific reasons. Most ships I dislike are either because of their size (and attendant tropes/fan behaviour) or their basic premise (adult/child, incest, RPF, certain types of power dynamics, things like that). Trying to think of a specific ship ...

Oh. Okay, yeah. I say it a lot, but Hook/Emma from OuaT. Because him and his angst is the last thing in any world she needs or deserves right now, and I would cheerfully drop-kick him into a black hole given half a chance. (And Rumbelle is going the same way, really. It kind of always was, but it's hitting critical mass lately).

All the HP epilogue ships. The one saving grace was that JRK did not pair up Luna and Neville, though that one new bit of HP canon a couple weeks back showed she did marry them off, thankfully not to each other. *sigh*

Currently, Sousuke/Rin from Free! It's not that I ship Rin with anyone well, besides myself but Sousuke is so boring I don't get how anyone can care about him.
