Aang/Katara: never saw anything romantic between them. Aang had a 12 year old crush, which was fine as it played for laughs. But making them canon at the end? So disappointing.

I agree. I could see his interest, but everything concerning her seemed to be going in a more mature direction and she didn't seem interested back. It really felt awkward at the end.

Yeah, I thought she considered him as a little brother rather than a potential love interest. I don't ship Zutara so I have no horse in this race.

Agreed. I shipped Katara and anyone but Aang, especially after he tried to force a kiss on her.

yeah, that one episode where Aang can't sleep just before the finale- and Katara tucked him in seemed so motherly/big sisterish that I didn't believe my eyes when they kissed.

I still just wish they left it off with a sort of ship tease, and then in Korra confirmed it. I don't think either character was appropriate for TRUE LOVE RINGS ETERNAL starting at age 12.
