Whoo-hoo! But wait. I haven't watched Digimon since it was on Fox Kids, oh, fifteen years ago. I watched season 1, season 2, and some of season 3. I remember being shocked because season 3 claimed that season 1 and season 2 were just a TV show that kids watched, and weren't actually real.

...does that mean it is real? What is the Digimon canon?

also hopefully they throw out the season 2 garbage ending. Whoever wrote that was hopefully fired, etc.

I sort of want to rewatch Digimon so I can follow along with this, but do I care enough? I adored Digimon as a kid but the third season sounds pretty bad and idk. But I'm glad it's continuing at any rate; I know a lot of fans are going to be happy.

So, now that the first trailer's out, what do you think? Will it suck, or be as brilliant as the stage version? Somewhere in between?

I have my doubts about it, starting with casting an actual child as Red. That brings whole new levels of creepy to her scenes with the wolf, not to mention gutting the coming of age aspects of I Know Things Now. And they seem to be hiding that it's a musical, which is an odd choice.

But I watched the trailer and heard the music and got all excited and...maybe I should just watch the American Playhouse version instead.

Writing research question (mountain industries)

Hi, I'm writing this story wherein one mountain industry affects the economy of the community downstream from them. The idea is that there are two early industrial communities, one in the mountains that produces a product (like mined minerals or lumber) which they send down a river to a community at a lower elevation that relies on the product as a central form of livelihood. Like, Town A sends Town B lumber and Town B uses the lumber for the town's main form of income (like, say, ship buiding). When Town A stops supplying Town B with said product, Town B is financially devastated.

I realize this is such a vague question, but does anybody have any idea what two symbiotic industries like that might be?
