Work late or just stay up late?

Normally I'm a "in bed by 9 PM" kind of gal, but insomnia has been kicking my ass since my ex and I split six months ago.

My old jobs weren't the kind where you could stay late, but I would often wind up working 7-10 day weeks.

Almost never. I am out as soon as the clock hits 5:00.

But I'm not salaried so even if I work until a late time, it's just how my shift is scheduled. It's more a problem of working early - I get shifts that start at 5 a.m. and that sucks. lol

It depends on my shift. Some weeks I work until 6pm, and some weeks I work until 10pm.

Not anymore thank god. The latest I work now is 7 which isn't too bad. But before that sometimes I'd work until 11, and on average I'd get off by 9:30. Nothing made me crankier than staying in a job with a late shift. It feels like most of your day is stolen and then you have to work.

It's now 5 am and I have just finished working on my thesis for the last... 6? hours. Does that answer your question?

eh. I rarely have to stay later than 10-15 minutes, and that only happens sometimes. Once recently I did have to stay until 10:15 (supposed to leave at 9:00) but that was a special case.
