Re: Hurt/Comfort (sort of inspired by #6)

For me it depends on how it's written/the specific circumstance.

I like them innocent and about emotions.
I LOVE them if it's emotional H/C. (Loss or accident of a loved one or pet, comforting over unrequited love, comforting over a friend's betrayal, etc)
I like them when it's temporary and minor injuries... broken leg/sprained ankle. Got into a fight, got a black eye and the other person gives them ice, etc. But that still is more emotional for me. How the characters interact with each other and how the comfort person will help (especially if it's unexpected for them).

I don't like it when it's sexual, or sexualized, or anything to do with sex at all. (which means I don't find much to read lol)
I don't like chronic diseases or illnesses, especially terminal illnesses. Get that away from me. Seriously, seriously, seriously. It makes me soooooo uncomfortable and kind of causes anxiety.
I don't like crippling accidents, where they are handicapped and need someone to help them 24/7. Not saying I won't read handicapped characters, but I don't want their pairing to be the one helping them all the time. Like (C1/C2, C2 is C1's personal caregiver) nooo, squick. Same with illnesses for that one though. I'd rather it be a family member or doctor be their personal caregiver and C2 is just a friend (or rival, enemy, whatever) who cares and visits and talks to them.

I've never really thought about it before, but I really agree with your last part there. Just the power imbalances if C2 is a caregiver or doctor.
