Vanessa/Dorian. Hate is too strong a word but I can't say I'm into it.

Anybody/Dorian, really. I mean, yes, hot porn, but actual relationships nuh-uh. He's a literal emotional void who seems to view sexual partners as a) diversions against boredom, and b) a means of finding his missing sense of self inside someone else. He's pretty much not good for anybody, and not even in an interesting kind of way. He's just ... sort of boring, really? Everyone else has hideous trauma and wrenching emotional tensions and ship teases in every which direction, while Dorian just shows up to have sex once in a while to trigger other people's traumas and then wanders off to mope at some flowers or a rack of cologne for a while.

Though the scene where Vanessa gently and sort of viciously explains to him what rejection is was pretty fantastic, I admit.

Yesssss I agree with all of this. I feel that part of it is also that Reeve Carney's acting really isn't convincing me and I have a hard time picturing him with the way Dorian is portrayed in the book. And that rejection scene was gold, complete with him shedding a Single Manly Tear.
