I like it, but really only emotional hurt, and less "dead loved one" and more "mortal danger," "I fucked up" angst, " or "I'm keeping a horrible secret or a did a horrible thing that is causing me emotional turmoil." I like emotional intimacy and cuddling (especially face touching) kind of comfort. Stuff like that.

I do have favorite characters I like to see whumped. Loki, Tony Stark, Londo, Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Snape, Morgan Martin, Starsky, Hutch... probably a bunch more I can't think of right now.
