I posted the Optimus Prime / Mikaela Banes secret a while back...

My favorite fanfic author does a fascinating thing with Bayverse Optimus Prime. He is that guy who has to be strong all the time, till he's crumbling. She writes him crumbling only around Mikaela. He doesn't let his men see that. He tells her all his doubts, his fears, his frustrations, and she just listens and stays near him. It's so beautiful.

Then she saw AOE and reversed them when Mikaela is able to see Optimus again after he vanished for four years. Mikaela completely comes apart and he just holds her.

I marvel at the author of those stories. I really do. She has been at that series since 2008.

Oooh, I'm glad you posted this comment. I'd made a note to check out that author based on your secret, but now I plan to read them ASAP! Do any of their fics in particular stand out as your faves?
