When I was young and angsty I digged the whole package of hurt - torture and a poor bloody character struggling on... The character probably falls unconscious at some point.

Now physical hurt seems boring. Nowadays I like subtle emotional angst, like some tragic piece of hero's past is discovered by chance, something canon compliant.

I have a soft spot for angsty messed up inner dialogue in contrast to a character's normal-ish behavior. I don't see it enough in fics.

btw, I prefer my fave character doing the suffering.

I guess I have one in all my fandoms. It helps that it's usually a fan favotite to hurt, so there's a lot fic to read.

Do you know any character that stars heavily in h/c?
