Tarzan is doing well in that poll. Wondering if I should just go ahead and buy that book anyway if it is that popular. Worth it, guys?

Well, it is in public domain, so if you're interested, you can always read it on Project Gutenberg (at the very least on their Australian version).

Not sure whether that works for you - I know there are definitely some people who prefer physical copies only.

I liked it. It's not my favorite but it was interesting. I like fantasy, adventure and easy reading if it helps.

I was just thinking about downloading it. I have a leaning tower of unread books to get through first though. My goal for the rest of the year....

I liked it for it's nostalgia value. The story is a bit unbelievable and overwrought, but still fun to read. (Well, okay, i only read the very first Tarzan, but i imagine they're all fairly similar in style and such....) Give a try if only to know what that kind of writing/style was like.

I don't think it is fair to call the story unbelievable. We're talking about a book starring a man who talks to monkeys going on a trip to the center of the Earth. If you've bought the book then you're already all-in.
