I liked it for it's nostalgia value. The story is a bit unbelievable and overwrought, but still fun to read. (Well, okay, i only read the very first Tarzan, but i imagine they're all fairly similar in style and such....) Give a try if only to know what that kind of writing/style was like.

I don't think it is fair to call the story unbelievable. We're talking about a book starring a man who talks to monkeys going on a trip to the center of the Earth. If you've bought the book then you're already all-in.
