Really? I find all three of the things AYRT mentioned weird (not in a critical way, since I don't have to eat them). Admittedly, I hate salt on sweet things, but I'd still never heard of the watermelon thing before.

It's not weird because it's ubiquitous in the South but I find it repulsive. LOL I thought I didn't like watermelon for years because everybody in my family eats it that way.
