I like ketchup, but not that much. I vastly prefer tabasco/other kinds of hot sauce. So anything most people put ketchup on, I'll reach for the ketchup bottle. Apparently people find this weirdest on french fries.

That doesn't seem weird.

I once put ketchup on steak when we had it at a cook-off in the break-room and my coworker made a comment. He told me that ketchup was the lowest in the hierarchy of condiments.

I was just like "dude. It's a condiment."

I just like ketchup on meat.

I see the condiment superiority rankings a lot, which I don't get. You're not even comparing things that taste the same.

Like, ranch dressing goes with pizza, but you can't put it on a hot dog. Everything's good for something.

Condiment equality for all!

Yeah.

Also "what people put on their food" seems like a very stupid thing to act superior about. There's enough things people use to feel superior to one another about.

Should've told him that unsolicited food criticism was the lowest in the hierarchy of conversation.

Ketchup on meat is tasty.

Hehe that's a good one.

Ketchup improves all meat. From beef to chicken to tuna steaks.

My grandpa once worked at a tomato processing plant (brand Red Gold) and he never could eat ketchup again.

My friends have stories about milk factories and bakeries. The aversion passes with time.
