Yep, I see this a lot in my current fandom and it tends to make me really, really uncomfortable. Especially the posts that are like "every character is trans. or queer. or something".
The way the labels get arbitrarily thrown on characters that even go remotely against the binary (of which there are quite a few in my fandom) is just really gross to me. It feels it's not being done for the sake of building a more interesting headcanon or backstory but more "well I can't like this character if they're just a plain cishet!!! gotta make them more interesting than that", as if what the character actually -does- in canon isn't enough to make them interesting. IDK.
