Same here OP, gladly never seen it in RPF D: (don't read those so that's why).

Hell, I'm trans and representation is awesome and it's good people are writing about such headcanons. However, it triggers the fuck out of me - it usually centres on stereotypes, anxiety, dysphoria, so on so forth. I'd love a fic where a character was just trans and well ... just that, while plot and character development goes on. Seen a grand total of one. ONE. In Fallout fandom.

Of course, everyone has their own cup of tea, but headcannoning a real person as trans is ... creepy.

Please link the fic you mentioned! I have seen a grand total of zero fics where a trans character is just trans and it's not a gigantic whooptedo of nonsense and stereotypes and misunderstandings and stuff like that.

The worst fic I remember would be one for Downton Abbey which had been pretty period accurate but ... a bit unrealistic and only concentrated on this.
