Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
(Anonymous) 2014-08-04 01:02 am (UTC)(link)The popularity of the Guardians of the Galaxy title dates back to the Abnett & Lanning version, circa 2008. They wrote several Marvel books around that time, commonly referred to as the Realm of Kings and Annihilation War or the Marvel Cosmic universe since there were crossovers all over the place and it involved space-based comics: it was more like a giant, sprawling braided novel and individual comics and it took place chronologically speaking about the same time as the Civil War. It is more or less universally agreed to be the very best type of pulp comics ever published by Marvel. As opposed to the graphic novel type comics like V for Vendetta or Watchmen (neither of which was published by Marvel, BTW).
Instead of misleading innocent people who don't know the comics, go and find the whole story arc, read, then come back to thank us: I'll be right here, waiting.
