YESSSS. Wendy Dipper thing is FINALLY dead. I'm so happy they ended that crap. Also, I'm almost certain now that Stan has a twin/Mcgucket is the writer of the journal.

Here's hoping -- I'll have to wait a few more episodes or the rest of the season before I'll consider that horse dead. That said, it will be nice to get away from that subplot for a while now!

IA that McGuckett wrote (at least one of) the journals, and I love the theory that Stan has a twin but I haven't seen anything in the two new episodes to support it any further than it was by the first season. I'm so stoked to have this show back though! I can't wait for more!

When Stan was fiddling with the portal thing, one of the machines said something about the search being negative and moving on to the next scan. Also the line where Stan says that he knows just how dangerous the mysteries of the town can be. That's what has me wondering.

/My/ theory is that either Stanley or Stanford pulled a Dipper and went looking into the mysteries of the town and ended up sent away somewhere. There's stuff to support that-The kid who looks exactly like Stan in the background reading a book, the two different young!Stans, his car having the name 'Stanley' on the vanity plate, the Bill comment/How the Stan he saw had the wire glasses, how Stan quietly picks up the wire glasses in CD and then is seen later looking at them.

Oh and!

I figured he wrote all three of them. The bandages over where a sixth finger could have been, the 'he hasn't been the same in thirty years' comment, how his first name is Fiddleford and the laptop says 'property of F'. It IS rather obvious, though, maybe too obvious. Maybe he's a Co-author?

I somehow totally missed both that AND that McGuckett's first name is Fiddleford. I bet you're totally right. :D
