Re: Your Age Vs. How Old You Look

It sort of depends. Until about 23 I always got estimated (much) older, which was especially sort of creepy as I attracted a lot of older guys as a teen. In my mid-twenties it sort of evened out, and in my late twenties people started estimating me younger. I'm not sure if it's my face or my lifestyle though: I'm not married, have no kids, don't own a house - I don't really have much of the things "adults" have. I'm in my early 30's now, but generally get mistaken for mid to late twenties, about 4-6 years younger. It can really depend, though. Someone estimated me to be 24 a few months ago, but when I feel ill or tired I get estimated more closely to my age. I think I look a bit shit lately, but maybe that's just my skin being a bit dried out from the sun.

In any case, I do not try looking older, on the contrary. I like being perceived as younger because I don't relate much to most people my age. Except from the occasional patronizing from a person who's being motherly/fatherly while they're not even a decade older, it's okay. I specifically dress, act, and do make-up "younger", though not sure that makes any difference really.
