Yet they made 3 live action films in the 90s and none of them looked this terrible design wise. Even the 3rd one and the costumes for that film were pretty ugly and cheap.

No, they looked downright GOOFY. I couldn't and still can't take them as anything more than a fucking parody.

The third movie pretty much was a parody, but the first iteration of those rubber suits were good for quite a few things. Like when the guy who played Mikey tried to give his wife her fantasy of making love to a superhero. He went into the bedroom wearing just the head.

Damn, I wish I could find that vid now.
