The problem with Bieber is not that his music is bad, the that he's an asshole.

I realized recently (due to the whole Bieber/Bloom incident) that I don't actually know of any Justin Bieber songs. I listen to a lot of top 40/contemporary pop on the radio and you'd think his stuff would come up. Either it did and I turned away because I didn't like it or it just didn't get repeated enough for it to sink in as a popular song and I never noticed the song was by him. I guess I don't understand how he can be such a big star when his music never gets played.

Also: yes, he does appear to be an asshole who likes to break laws like they don't apply to him and act like a dick. I gotta agree with James Franco: Team Bloom!

He wasn't always an asshole though when he was younger and being mentored by Usher. I kinda think the whole lifestyle he was given is why he became an asshole. I would be too if any one around my age who was female just wanted to scream in my face and any guy would tell me they hated me for no reason.

Total agreement here. I think he's gone totally off the rails, but I feel bad about it more than anything. Even though the only time I ever heard him sing was that time he played the Grey Cup (a bizarre, bizarre choice) and I wasn't impressed. He just strikes me as a kid who needed a lot more guidance than he got.

nayrt, I'd feel bad for him if he showed a single shred of self-awareness. But that seems to be beyond his capabilities. He's fortunate, and he's probably always going to have it better than the average peoples, but life has got a lot of hard lessons in store for him that he's really ill-equipped to deal with.

Fasten your seatbelt, Biebs, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
