Yep. I have female friends and some male acquaintances, but I don't get very close to the male ones.

Most of my friends are guys.

I went to a women's college so it was inevitable. But in high school it was pretty equally split between male and female friends.

Mostly an even split, maybe tending a little more towards men rather than women.

Hmm, I'm counting up my closest friends and it looks like three women and four guys. So slightly more guys. But the women include my girlfriend and my bestest friend ever.

Depends on where, I guess! Gaming buddies happen to be male-prevalent so there, yes. Most fandoms happen to be female-prevalent so there, no. Work friends are almost exactly evenly divided. (Etc etc other groups too, I mean school friends and stuff too, I was just pointing out the 'where' matters)

Most of my friends are female but most of my acquaintances and schoolmates are male.

Friends, yes, most of the people I would call friends are guys like myself, but as for acquaintances and/or low level friendships, I'm pretty sure just from college alone I've had a 70/30 split at least in meeting women to men.

I have a pretty even mix, actually. Depends on my situation, though.

My main circle of friends is evenly split into 4 girls (incl me) and 4 guys. Which breaks down into 3 m/f couples (2 pairs are married), and me and the other guy. I was friends with the women in the group first as the four of us went to middle school together, and then the guys I met while in HS (2 were students there).

Beyond that close circle, my friends are probably 75% women and 25% men. It seems kind of like the women I know (from HS and college) make a greater effort to stay in touch now that we're scattered across the country.

Right now, yes, but that hasn't consistently been the case.

I have far more male friends, but the female friends I do have I'm a lot closer with.

Right now it is about an even mix. In high school, it was mostly men because I went to a really conservative school where I didn't relate to any of the women at all. But right now I have a good range of male and female friends as well as one or two who don't identify as either.

Girl, and the four people I really think of as friends are an even split. The one I'm closest to by far is a guy, but I'm much closer to both the girls than the other guy

But it seems like a crapshoot. My friends are female because I was in an all-girls dorm (Jesuit colleges are like that) and then got into fandom. So the people I talk to online are mostly female because I landed in girl-dominated areas.

My grad school friends are roughly fifty fifty. BUT the one I'm closest to is female. But again, I think that's mostly just chance. We happened to enter the same year and get along.
