I keep expecting RWBY's non-action scenes to not extremely suck. It keeps forcing itself to be "like an anime" and completely failing at it, and you end up with uncanny valley for genre cliches mingled with western cartoon cliches. I just want Miles, Kerry, and Monty to just let it become it's own thing if that makes any sense.

I keep trying to watch RWBY because the action scenes I've seen are *SO COOL* but I just can't get into it. (Then again, I'm still 'on' the first season -- if you're talking about the second season and it's still like that, it might not be worth my time. :( )

How far along are you? Mind that this may be spoilers, but the bullying arc especially puts a lot of people off since it takes the already shaky focus of the show and points it at the wall for no reason. Season two just started, but I expect it'll have the same character inconsistencies and pacing issues while trying to juggle between being episodic and having an overarching story :/

If anything, it's worth keeping up with if you like the fanworks. The artists, even the shippers, tend to take the barely-there ideas of the show and make them better.


Yeah, aside from action bits, I'm sticking around for Roman and his guyliner mostly :U
