There are aspects of TS3 that I really like, but I just think it's so much easier to control interacting stories across multiple homes in TS2. For instance, right now I've got Brandi Broke living with the Caliente sisters while Dustin raises his brothers and is dating Angela Pleasant, who herself is going through a family crisis as her dad got caught with the maid (on the same day her mom was fired, poor Mary-Sue).

IDK, maybe I just never figured out how to have multiple homes that all interacted but were still controllable by me for all the big things in TS3. Plus I was the anon from a few days ago who just largely didn't care about watching my Sims run/bike/subway to work (nor could I figure out how to make them pack a lunch, so they were always whining.)

And TS4 is doing away with toddlers, huh? I'd always thought newborn would be a better age to drop, because at least toddlers can do things (though I hated that you couldn't take then to community lots). As long as women aren't birthing school-aged kids in TS4, I'll withhold judgment.

Pretty sure that's why they dropped toddlers (for now--I'm sure they'll include it in some sort of EP.) instead of babies. I read somewhere they they could code babies like 'objects' because they don't do anything so it was much simpler to have them included rather than vice versa.

That just feels lazy. :|

Yep. Sims 2 works better for certain play styles. Also, while cc has made sims 3 sims look much better, I prefer the toon look of ts2 to the plastic doll look of ts3. I also like some of the features of ts3 better, but even with hacks it didn't work with the way I play. I lost two families too many in 3. I just went back to 2. Fortunately, most of the content from 3 has been converted to use or decorate with so I haven't felt like I was missing out.

I prefer the look of sims 4 over all of them and I'm hopeful (I haven't been to check any demo players info) that it will work with the way I run my hoods.

You can take toddlers to community lots in Sims 3, iirc
